SCGA Four Ball: An Amazing Qualifying Score
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, California (October 17, 2006) -- The Southern California Golf
Association has announced results from the four qualifiers for their upcoming
Four Ball Championship, which is set to be played November 13-14 at Oakmont Country
Club in Glendale.
In the most recent qualifier, October 17 at Crystalaire Country Club in Llano,
David Bartman and Robert Funk wowed the field with a 12-under-par 60 that put
them 5 strokes in front of the next qualifiers. It's a number the two players
are familiar with -- they also wowed the amateurgolf.com Two Man Links Championship
at Pacific Dunes in Oregon when their third round 60 at Pacific Dunes put them
well out of reach of the rest of the field with one round to play.
This time, the "clock" gets set to zero as all qualifiers start from the same
place when they play the tournament proper in November.
