CHRISTCHURCH, NZ (March 27, 2016)--For the second time in her career Chantelle Cassidy (-11) is the New Zealand Women's Stoke Play winner. Cassidy one by a single stroke over Kirsty Hodgkins (-10) at Christchurch Golf Club.

Cassidy (Riverside, NZ) started the day with a two-stoke lead and was able to hold on with an even-par 74. The 2013 champion scattered three birdies and three bogeys throughout her round.

“It feels really good to win it here at Christchurch Golf Club. The nerves weren’t too bad," Cassidy told Golf New Zealand. "I knew I had a two shot lead coming down 18 and then (I) hit a whopping drive down the middle, so (it) took the two putt to win, so it was great!”

Hodgkins (Australia) attempted to make a run at Cassidy and she got off to a strong start with back-to-back birdies on four and five. Unfortunately, Hodgkins would run out of steam on No. 13 when she carded a double-bogey on the 311 yard par-four. Hodgkins finished the final round with a one-under par 73.
