PHOENIX, AZ (March 19, 2016)--Three rounds are in the books and Mason Andersen (-8) leads the Arizona Stroke Play Championship at Grand Canyon University Golf Course. Andersen will bring a two stroke lead into Sunday.

Andersen, who recently won the Thunderbird Invitational, fired a 3-under par 68 on Saturday after rounds of 70 and 67. The resident of Chandler, AZ began his third round quickly with birdies on his first two holes. Andersen ended up birding four holes on the front nine for a 32.

On the back side Andersen cooled off a bit posting eight pars and a bogey on No. 15.

Eric Ghim (-6), a San Diego State commit, is currently in second place. Sean O'Donnell (-4) and Michael Feagles (-4) are tied for third place. Feagles will be headed to Illinois next season.

The only other two golfers in red figures are Jake Chanen and Ken Tanigawa last years Arizona Mid-Amateur champion at 2-under par, tied for fifth.
