Vaughn Taylor and Gregg Ontiveros win AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2016) -- "I'm not even a golfer really," said Gregg Ontiveros after winning his first AT&T Pro-Am team title back in 2012.

"By anyone's definition, I don't think you'd say I'm very good. I'm a 17 handicap and anybody who has played with me wouldn't call me a sandbagger."

Now, playing off a 12.6 handicap, anyone who knows (or can imagine) the pressure of playing with the eventual winner with TV cameras and gallery all around surely realizes that Ontiveros has arrived as a golfer. At least he's putting his name on a pretty prestigious trophy.

With Taylor firing a 7-under 65 on Sunday and snatching the victory with 4-straight birdies, Ontiveros helped three shots. The team's best-ball total of 30-under for the week meant that Ontiveros had helped a total of 13-shots over four rounds, certainly not unreasonable given the number of shots he was getting.

Ontiveros is CEO of business outsourcing company Group O, and resides in Davenport, Iowa where he plays out of Crow Valley Golf Club. He got his first invitation to the tournament several years ago because his company does business with AT&T.
