ALVA, Florida (Dec. 7, 2015) -- Baldonick Fernandez of Pembroke Pines posted a round of 2-under 70 to take the first round lead in the 40-54 division of the Florida Winter Series Fort Myers Individual event at River Hall Country Club.
Fernandez, 53, is a Latin America Software Developer at SAP and a member of Lago Mar Country Club.
Jerome Brown of Bradenton is a stroke back at 70.
In the 55-64 age bracket, of Cory Walker of Ormond Beach posted even-par 72 and stands a shot in front of Rokki Roman from Fort Myers. Rogan plays out of nearby Cypress Lake.
Kim Schwenke of Tampa -- a longtime AmateurGolf.com member -- posted 2-under 70 to pace the 65 and over flight. Thomas Jung of Fort Myers is a stroke back.
