FLORENCE, S.C. — Blue skies and sunshine provided the perfect backdrop for a stunning final round at the 9th Annual SCGA Harry Wilson Super Senior Championship being held at Florence Country Club. Joe Hackler of Myrtle Beach shot a final round score of 2-over par 73 for tournament total of 147 to capture the title by one stroke over Aiken’s John Laehn.

Hackler countered three bogies on his front side, two of which came in the first three holes, with 3 birdies on holes five, six, and nine for a front nine total of even par 35.

After a double bogey on the 151 yard par-3 fifteenth hole, Hackler added another birdie on hole 13 before a bogey on hole 15 to finish back nine with a two over par 38 for a final round of 73.

Finishing in second place was Aiken’s John Laehn with a tournament total of 148. Third place finisher was three time SCGA Super Senior Champion, Bob Stringer, with a tournament total of 150.

In the Legends Division, Paul Davies (Hartsville) held onto the lead to finish with a tournament total of 150.
