USGA Sr Amateur Qualifying: Clearwater, Florida
Clearwater, FL (August 30, 2006) - Edward Bass, of University Park, fired a 72 at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater to lead three golfers who qualified for the 2006 USGA Senior Amateur Championship. The Championship, for those age 55 and older, will be played from Sept. 16-21 at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind.
Also qualifying were Michael Walters, of Tampa, who shot 73 and George McLaughlin, from Lecanto, after posting a 75

with a USGA Handicap Index of 7.4 or lower,
who are 55 or older on or before the day the
championship begins. It is one of 14 national
championships conducted annually by the
