The 2014 U.S. Mid-Amateur runner-up from St. Joseph posted 70 on Saturday and will take a one-shot lead into the final round over Kyle Nathan of Illinois.

First-round leader Chris Long of South Dakota struggled to a 76 on day two after carding a 64 on Friday. He's now five shots back in third place.

In the team race, Illinois has an 9-point advantage over Missouri with Kansas just two behind them in third place.
