BOESEL & HENKEN TOP QUALIFIERS FOR U.S. MID-AMATEUR AT SOUTHERN DUNES

David Boesel, of Orlando, and Richard Henken, of Gainesville, each fired a 71 to share medalist honors at Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club in Haines City to lead five golfers who qualified for the 2006 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship. The Championship will be played from September 9-14 at Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Also qualifying was Robert Parker, of Sanford, and Jon Veneziano, of Mount Dora, after each shot 72. Ken Palladino, of Dunedin, emerged in a playoff claiming the final qualifying spot after shooting a 73.

Ken Moody, of Ponte Vedra Beach, fired a 68 to earn medalist honors at Deerwood Country Club in Jacksonville to lead four golfers who qualified for the 2006 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship. The Championship will be played from September 9-14 at Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Also qualifying was Doug Hanzel, of Savannah, Jeff Knox, from Augusta, and Will Sprague, of Jacksonville, after each posted a 69 for 18 holes.
