Clark County Amateur: 16-year-old Jack Trent shoots career best to lead by four
BOULDER CITY, Nev. — Jack Trent, a Las Vegas high schooler originally from Australia, shot 64 in Saturday's first round to grab a four-shot lead at the Clark County Amateur.
The 16-year-old shot his career best round in the tournament's first round, going bogey-free with four birdies on each side at Boulder Creek Golf Club and leads A.J. McInerney by four strokes.
Taylor Montgomery is six back in third place while Darrell Lutey is seven back in fourth.
The 36-hole event will conclude on Sunday.
