PGA Tour player Derek Fathauer is one of four co-champions in Palm Beach Par-3 Shootout

JUPITER, Fla. — Two teams tied for first in the
third annual Palm Beach “Pricey” Par 3 Shootout
staged by the Palm Beach County Golf
Association Friday afternoon at Jupiter Dunes
Golf Club. Even at five-under par 49, four-ball
stroke play, were Derek Fathauer of Jensen
Beach and John Powers of Delray Beach with
Robbie Dew of Palm Beach Gardens and Lenny
Loyd of Port St. Lucie. All four have won PBCGA
titles in the past.
It is the third straight year that teams have tied
at the top, the first time co-champions were
declared.
Fathauer, a regular on the PGA Tour and a
former PBCGA junior champion, had four birdies,
Powers two and both birdied the 10th hole. Dew
made six birdies and he and Loyd made one
team bogey.
World Golf Hall of Famer Nick Price of Jupiter
Island and his son Greg tied for third at 50
among the 23 twosomes in the starting lineup.

ABOUT THE Palm Beach Pricey Par-3
One-day, Par-3 tournament played in a Four-Ball
Stroke Play format. Open to amateurs and
professionals, and several PGA Tour professionals
compete each year. Sponsored by World Golf Hall of
Fame Member, Nick Price. There is a restriction on
the
number of clubs a team can use: 1 or 2 Putters + 5
