The season is young, but Sean Walsh of Keller got off to a great start in January with a win at the Saguaro Amateur in Arizona. Among the three players tied for second are last year’s champ Scottie Scheffler, and Will Zalatoris, who recently wowed the field with a 67 in the Northern Trust Open Collegiate Showcase, earning a spot in the field at Riviera.

Scottie Scheffler

In 2014, Scottie Scheffler claimed the Player-of-the-Year spot. He finished T3 at the Northeast Am, made the quarters at the Western, and finished T22 at the Byron Nelson Classic on the PGA Tour. Runner-up in the rankings, Will Zalatoris claimed the USGA Junior title, which Scheffler won the year prior. He also won the Texas State Am and the Trans-Miss.

The future is bright for both of these Texas stars!
