Cartersville Country Club wins Georgia Team Championship
STATHAM, Ga. (Nov. 2, 2014) — Cartersville Country Club won the Georgia Team Championship at 11-under-par 349 (135-214). They finished seven strokes ahead of defending champions, Dalton Golf & Country Club, who earned runner-up honors at 4-under-par 356 (136-220).
The 22nd annual team competition took place at The Georgia Club, November 1-2. Chad Branton, Cres Dodd, Chase Jones and Jayce Stepp made up the victorious Cartersville CC team. The held a one shot lead after day one over second place Dalton G&CC, whose team consisted of Brandon Kimmerling, Chase Miller, Tyler Mitchell and David Noll, Jr.
The Georgia Club played to 6,929 yards and a par 72.
