BRYAN, Texas (Oct. 18, 2014) — The North Team will enter the final day of matches at the Texas Shootout with a slim 19-17 lead over the South Team after the first day of foursome and four-ball matches. Captained by John Bearrie, the North Team finished their matches with strong back nines in the morning and afternoon. This year’s Ryder Cup style matches are hosted at Miramont Country Club in Bryan.
The afternoon four-ball matches saw the South Team rally after being down from the morning. The afternoon’s hot hand was the duo of Jess Bonneau/John Hunter who won all three points.
