Nick Amen wins Yolo County Amateur again
DAVIS, Calif. (Oct. 5, 2014) — For the second straight year, Nick Amen is the Yolo County Amateur champion.

Last year, Amen shot 60 (on a par 67 course) in the first round to cruise to victory at Davis Golf Course. In 2014, rounds of 64 and 63 gave him a two-shot win over former UC Davis golfer Ben Corfee.

Corfee opened with 61 but shot 68 on Sunday to finish two back of Amen.

Finishing in third place was Scott Raber, younger brother of former UC Davis star Tyler Raber. Raber went 68-63 on the weekend.

In the Senior division, Peter Moren escaped from a three-way playoff to win. Shooting 69-67, Moren was tied at the end of play with Frank Madrigal and Dennis Younglove. Moren won on the second playoff hole.
