Brooks Park Cup Matches: Pros beat amateurs
STATELINE, Nev. (Oct. 3, 2014) — The Northern Nevada amateurs were no match for the PGA professionals of the Sierra Nevada chapter. The PGA won handedly 16 to 8 in the Ryder Cup style matches, held October 1-2 at Edgewood Tahoe.

The Brooks Park Cup Matches are held every year at the end of the tournament schedule. The event is played by the top points professional in the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the PGA and the top scratch amateurs from the Northern Nevada Golf Association.

Team matches between the Northern Nevada Golf Association (NNGA) and the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the PGA (SNCPGA). Amateur eligibility: Top 11 players from the NNGA Scratch Player of the Year and Blues Scratch Senior Player of the year.
