Bennett Buch shoots 66 to lead Middle Atlantic Amateur

ROCKVILLE, Md. (Oct. 2, 2014) — Bennett Buch of West Friendship, Md. posted four-under 66 at Manor Country Club on Thursday in the first round of the Middle Atlantic Amateur to lead by one stroke.
Sitting in second place are two players; Peter Knade and Michael McGowan, who both shot 69. Overall, 15 players are within five shots of the lead with 54 holes to play.
Buch's round consisted of back-to-back nines of 33 on the 6,700-yard par 70. Buch, a high school junior in the Baltimore area, won the Maryland Junior Amateur in 2013.
