Sheppard defends at Pontiac Elks Invitational
PONTIAC, Ill. (Sept. 14, 2014) — Tim Sheppard, having won last year's Pontiac Elks Invitational, needed to come back from three down this year if he wanted to defend his title. Sheppard shot a second consecutive round of 70, and benefited from a final-round 75 from Saturday's leader Eric Izzo to make the back-to-back wins possible.

Sheppard made two birdies on the back nine to shot 34, giving him a two shot win over Izzo.

Izzo, who led by three after Saturday's opening-round 67, struggled on Sunday in a round that included four bogeys and a triple-bogey.
