CASTROVILLE, Tex. (Sept. 13, 2014) — After quarterfinal and semifinal matches were played Saturday afternoon at Alsatian Golf Club outside San Antonio, two players — Reagon Overall and Brian Marchiori (pictured) — remain at the San Antonio Mid-Amateur Match Play.

Overall ousted off eight-seed John Perez in the semifinals after Perez knocked off the medalist Danny Lee.

Marchiori had a 5-and-4 win in the quarterfinals against Chase Clayton and then had a close 2-and-1 match with six-seed Adam Lowe.

ABOUT THE San Antonio Mid-Am/Senior Match Play

18 hole stroke play qualifier to determine a 32- player match play bracket for mid-amateurs and a 16- player bracket for seniors. Open to any male with amateur status, 25 years or older for Mid-Am, and 50 or older for Senior, as of the first day of the tournament residing in Bexar, Comal, Kendall, Kerr, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, Guadalupe, or Bandera counties for a minimum of three months prior to the Championship date. Active Duty Military residents are exempt from the three month residency requirement.
