Daniels, Ward share slim lead at PNGA Mid-Amateur
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (Sept. 10, 2014) — Things are tight atop the Pacific Northwest Mid-Amateur leaderboard through 36 holes as two players — Tyler Daniels and Jeff Ward — own a share of a one-shot lead with Thursday's final round remaining.
Daniels, of Walla Walla, Wash., was tied for first after the opening round, as well, with Bjorn Bjorke at three-under par 69. Bjorke, however, shot 72 on Wednesday and is tied for third, just one stroke back.
Wend, a Bend, Ore. resident, has fired consecutive rounds of 70 to put himself in great position for Wednesday's final round at Running Y Ranch.
Eleven players are within four shots of the lead, so the final 18 holes should provide plenty of action.
