Gavin leads Wisconsin Mid-Amateur through first round
MIDDLETON, Wisc. (September 8, 2014) — Aaron Gavin is off to a good start at the Wisconsin Mid-Amateur Championship as his opening-round 69 leads by two halfway through tournament play.

Joe Weber sits alone in second place after a one-under par 71 and defending champion Todd Schaap is one of four players tied for third at 72.

Entries are open to all amateur male golfers who have attained the age of 25, are residents of Wisconsin and/or affiliated with a WSGA member club, with a MAXIMUM WSGA/USGA HANDICAP INDEX OF 11.4. Non-resident members must agree not to participate in any other state’s major amateur championships.
