Gardiner wins St. Louis Metro Senior Amateur
KIRKWOOD, MO (August 15, 2014) — Mark Gardiner captured the 22nd Annual St. Louis Metropolitan Senior Amateur Championship Friday, finishing three under for the championship with rounds of 69-70.
This caps off a great summer by Gardiner having qualified for the U.S. Senior Open earlier in the year.
2012 champion Andy Frost was runner-up for the second consecutive year. Frost shot two-under Friday to finish one shot back.
First round co-leader Robert Trittler shot one-over 72 on day two and finished in solo third place.
