Central Texas Amateur: Cory Brown takes early lead
ROUND ROCK, Texas (July 19, 2014) -- Cory Brown shot a first-round 65 and leads at the 2014 Central Texas Amateur at Forest Creek Golf Club.
Brown raced to a two-shot advantage heading into Sunday's second round.
Stephen Paterson shot 67 and is alone in second while Barrett Sandefur and sits in third place.

ABOUT THE Centex Amateur
36-hole individual stroke play tournament with
Championship and Net
flights. Championship flight is non-handicapped and
open to all
interested players. All others will be placed in the Net
flight (must have
an established handicap). Players ages 50 and older
will have a Senior
division within the Championship flight.
