Kentucky Open: Musselman (amateur) holds second after two rounds
PROSPECT, Kent. (July 15, 2014) -- Cooper Musselman is in contention to win the Kentucky Open as an amateur.
Musselman shot a second-round even-par 72, and trails leader Rick Cochran III by two strokes going into the final round.
The University of Kentucky player made two birdies and two bogeys on the day to stay put at five-under par. He led by two after the first-round, in which he fired a 67 with six birdies.
Other amateur golfers are still in contention as well. Matthew Reynolds is in sixth place after rounds of 72-71 for a one-under 143 total, and Kyle Leach and Matt Zakutney are tied for seventh at even-par 144.
