Alan Ellis wins Greenwood Invitational in Mississippi
GREENWOOD, Miss. (July 14, 2014) -- After three scorching days, a winner has emerged. Alan Ellis has taken the title in his hometown after shooting three great rounds.

His scores for each day were 66, 68, and 68, respectively for a three day total of 202. Ellis is continuing what has already been a great summer for him adding another win.

In second place came the 2013 Greenwood Invitational champion Clay Homan of Starkville, MS. Homan shot rounds of 72, 65, and 71 for a three day total of 208. Walker J Swaney came in third place shooting a three day total of 215. Swaney shot 69, 74, and 72 each day respectively.

ABOUT THE Greenwood Invitational

Eligibility: Open to Male Amateurs who have reached their 18th birthday on or before the first day of the tournament or who have graduated high school.

Format: Field size is limited to first 160 paid players. The tournament is scheduled for 54 holes of stroke play. The field will be flighted after 36 holes of play.
