Finals set at Nebraska Match Play
By Jack Persons
LINCOLN, Neb. (June 25, 2014) -- The championship match at the Nebraska Match Play Championship has been set, and stroke play medalist Andy Sajevic will not be playing in it.
Sajevic was crushed by ninth-seeded Ross Dixon, who took a 7&6 decision at the Country Club of Lincoln.
Dickson, however, lost on Thursday afternoon to Bryce Brown. Brown, who won 1-up, will face Carson Schaake.
Schaake won his quarterfinals match on Thursday morning, a 6&5 decision over third-seeded Zach Taylor. He had quite the match going in the semis in the afternoon against Josh Reinertson, but Reinertson conceded the match on the 15th hole due to illness. At the time, Schaake was only 1-up and the match was anyone's game.
The final between Brown and Schaake will be contested on Friday, and live scoring can be followed at the link below.
