Top seed, defending champ advance at Nebraska Match Play
LINCOLN, Neb. (June 24, 2014) -- The field for the 47th Nebraska Match Play Championship is now down to 32 players, after the Round of 64 on Tuesday at the Country Club of Lincoln. The top two seeds won easily in their first matches, Stroke Play Qualifying medalist Kade Brown, cruised to a 5 and 4 win.

Defending Champion Andy Sajevic also won big, 6 and 5. Overall, just one of the top 10 seeds did not advance, while five past champions are still alive. The Round of 32 begins Wednesday, with the Round of 16 to follow in the afternoon.

ABOUT THE Nebraska Match Play

Must be a resident or student of the state of Nebraska. Open to NGA members only. Limited to low 120 indexes. Format will be 36-holes of stroke play to determine a round of 32 match play.
