MEMPHIS, Tenn. (June 23, 2013) — The winner of the 2014 Travelers Championship made PGA TOUR
history on Sunday with Project X and Dynamic Gold in the bag.
The 35-year-old champion is the first player to birdie the last seven holes of a tournament with
Project X in his irons and Dynamic Gold in his wedges. His seven birdie putts totaled 94 feet and gave
him a one-shot victory over the two runner ups. The win at TPC River Highlands was his second PGA
TOUR career victory.
“Closing a tournament with seven consecutive birdies is incredible,” said Chad Hall, director of
product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. “Our cornerstone brands,
Project X and Dynamic Gold have proven time after time to be the choice of players who make history
with stellar performance such as this weekend’s champion. It’s the reason why more players tee it up
each week with Project X and Dynamic Gold than any other shaft brands on the global tours.”
Project X also won across the pond at the Irish Open on the European Tour this past weekend. The
winner plays Project X PXi in his irons and the runner up plays the new Project X Hand Crafted LX
graphite shaft in his driver.
Truth in Numbers:
• The Travelers Champion winner’s bag: Project X 6.5 (3-9); Dynamic Gold S400 (LW, PW)
• 114 sets of True Temper shafts in play at The Travelers Champion
Project X shafts feature straight taper and short tip sections that provide maximum energy transfer
with low spin rates required for penetrating iron shots.
