BOULDER CITY, Nev. (June 22, 2014) -- Ryan McCullough had been hanging around the Top 5 of the SNGA Scratch Division all year. On Sunday, he finally sealed the deal with a victory over Jeremy May in the finals of the SNGA Match Play Championship at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

McCullough beat May 4 & 3, getting off to a great start with a 5 Up lead after 9 Holes. May tried to battle back, but McCullough steady play lead to a solid victory over a solid field. McCullough avoided Southern Nevada Amateur Champion, Kenny Ebalo, when May beat him in the Semifinal Match 1 Up.

In the 3rd Place Match, Erik Matthewson beat Ralph Graves 4 & 2.

In the Net Division, Rob Jackson held off Rob Zoine in the Semifinals in 19 Holes and then beat George Yocum in the finals in a walkover.

Yocum was battling an injuried wrist for 2 days, but by the time he made it to the finals, the wrist injury proved too much to overcome.

Jackson, who plays most his golf at Boulder Creek, played steady golf for the two days to claim the Match Play Championship.

Michael Goffinet claimed 3rd Place with a win over Joe Benson.

In the Senior Bracket, James Hill topped Kevin Parrish in 19 Holes. Two of the best Seniors in the area needed more than 18 Holes to finish. Hill beat John Garrett in his Semifinal Match, while Parrish claimed victory of Evan Green.

3rd Place in the Senior Division went to Tim Dugan, beating Gary Franzen 5 & 4.

In the Super Senior Bracket, Bruce Swanson beat Frank Abbott 1 Up to win his second Super Senior win of the year. In a back and forth match against two of the best Super Seniors in the state, Swanson proved to be too much against the steady game of Abbott.
