Burton, Montague share lead at Kansas Stroke Play
NEWTON, Kan. (June 21, 2014) -- Two rounds are in the books at the 2014 Railer, Kansas Stroke Play Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton.
Nine players finished the 36-holes under par.
Leading the pack in the Open Division is Manhattan's Zac Burton and Wichita's Devin Montague.
Both players sit at 6-under par 138 total. 2013 Kansas Amateur champion Chase Hanna is two shots back at 4-under par 140.
Matt Green and Charlie Stevens are at 3-under par 141. In the Senior Division, Wichita's Steve Newman continues to lead at 2-under par 142 total.
Olthe's Tom Bachelor lurks at one shot back at 1-under par 143. The 54-hole weekend championship will conclude on Sunday, June 22 with tee times beginning at 7:30 am.
The championship is open to amateur golfers of all age and regardless of affiliation. The championship features Open and Senior Divisions.
