S. Carolina Match Play: Langley takes top seed
EABROOK ISLAND, SC – Second round stroke play qualifying results of the 42nd South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Seabrook Island Club (Ocean Winds Course) in Seabrook Island, SC on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 (6765 yards, par 36-36—72, 73.1/144).
Brian Langley of Bluffton, South Carolina held on to win medalist honors. Langley defeated Alex Finke from Rock Hill, SC in a playoff on Hole #18 with a par.
The field was cut to the low 32 players for match play. A three-for-two playoff was held for the final playoff position. Taylor Ingle and Joe Davis earned the last position match play positions on the first playoff hole.

Championship format is 36 holes of stroke play to
determine 32 qualifiers for
match play. The defending champion is seeded
number one
for match play if otherwise eligible.
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has
reached his 13th birthday, is a legal resident of
South Carolina, is a member in good
standing of a club which is a member of the
Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index® at
a CGA member club that
does not exceed 7.4.
