EUGENE, Ore. (May 17, 2014) -- It wasn't as easy as planned but in the end, Stanford was right where it wanted to be.

Led by an individual medalist performance from the World's No. 1 amateur Patrick Rodgers, Stanford won by a shot at the NCAA Men's Golf West Regional.

Rodgers shot 66-67-71 to win by six shots in the individual race. The medalist crown ties him with Tiger Woods for the most all time in program history.

Stanford also received a fifth-place finish from Cameron Wilson (71-68-74).

Oregon made a run and nearly upset Stanford. The Ducks were led by Thomas Lim, who caught fire and shot 66 in the final round to finish second in the individual race.

Oklahoma was third, followed by Houston and South Carolina.
