Kansas Sr. Four-Ball: Tyner, Opliger win with 66
OLATHE, Kan. (May 13, 2014) -- Tim Tyner and RJ Opliger shot a final-round 66 to win the 26th annual Kansas Senior Four-Ball Championship.
The winners followed up their first-round 70 with the red-hot 6-under 66 to win by a single shot over runners-up Kurt Lorenzen and Ward Zerger, who surged in Tuesday's final round, too, with a 67.
The teams of Steve Groom and Andy Smith and Peter Robbins and John Bailey tied for third, finishing just two shots off the pace set by Tyner and Opliger.
In the Super Senior flight, Benn Sledge and Michael Carey shot 70-68 to finished tied atop the leaderboard with Rob Gleissner and Lynn Dickey, who shot their second straight 69.
