Kansas Mid-Am: Troutman wins in playoff
LAWRENCE, Kan. (May 5, 2014) -- 36-holes of stroke play was not enough to determine a champion at the 26th Kansas Mid-Amateur Championship this weekend at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence.

Manhattan's Zac Burton and Spring Hill's Jon Troutman were deadlocked at 9-under par 135 total after the two rounds. After pars on the first two playoff holes, Jon Troutman rolled in a 25 foot birdie putt to get the best of Burton. Troutman claimed his fourth KGA Mid-Amateur Championship in the last four years.

Wichita's Jack Courington finished in solo third at 4-under par 140 total. The 2014 Mid-Amateur was held on May 3-4 (a weekend) at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence.

The Mid-Amateur is a 36-hole stroke play competition open to KGA members age 25 & older and features gross & net scoring competitions within three age divisions (25 to 34, 35 to 49, 50 & older).
