Arizona (AGA) Mid-Amateur Championship

LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ (June 18, 2006) -- Chris Kessler maintained his two-shot lead over Jonathan Baker going into Sunday's final round of the Arizona Mid-Amateur Championship to capture his first AGA title at the re-designed Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa. Kessler was the only player under par for the three-days at one-under 215.

Tom Hays was 3rd 220. Ken Kellaney was 4th at 222 and Tim Duffey was fifth at 223.

Tom Sweigart, the first round leader, finished in a tie for 6th with Guy Gedeon.

Amateur AGA Members who are 25 or older by June 17 with a handicap index of 3.8 or less (or a scoring average that calculates to 3.8 or less) as of last available revision. Maximum 120 contestants for 54-holes individual stroke play @ gross with a cut after 36-holes to the low 60 + ties
