Haskins Four-Ball: 4 teams share 1st-round lead
COLUMBUS, Ga. (April 4, 2014) -- Four teams share the lead after Round 1 of the 2014 Haskins Four Ball at the Donald Ross-designed Country Club of Columbus.
The teams of BUbba Gallops and Adam Cooper, Bobby THomas and Nolan Pendleton, Gregory Young and Gene Henderson adn Lou Denney and Nate Angus all shot 8-under 63 and are three shots up on the field entering the second of two rounds.
Mac McKnight and Charlie McDaniel are alone in fifth after an opening round 66.
The event is played in honor of Golf Pro Fred Haskins, for whom the national collegiate player of the year award is named.
Arthur Hills restored this Donald Ross gem that also hosts the Southeastern Amateur.
