MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Trusting Dynamic Gold in
his irons and Project X
in his wedges, the winner of the 2014 Valero
Texas Open scored his
first PGA TOUR victory this weekend at TPC
San Antonio.
Despite windy conditions on Sunday, the
winner started the day
with a three-stroke lead and was able to
achieve a hard fought
victory and win by one stroke. The Valero
Texas Open champion is
the third Australian to win a PGA TOUR event
within the past six
weeks of this season. His victory moved him up
to number 26 in the
FedEx Cup standings and scored him an invite
to The Masters.
"Congratulations to the Valero Texas Open
champion on his first
PGA TOUR career win," said Scott Hennessy,
president and CEO of
True Temper Sports. "We are honored that he
trusts his game to
Dynamic Gold, as did the runner up this
weekend and over 50
percent of the players in the field. Dynamic
Gold has had an
incredible run this season with 16 wins on the
PGA TOUR alone. We
like those numbers heading into The Masters in
two weeks which
now includes the Valero Open Champion in the
field!"
