Georgia Four-Ball: 2nd round postponed
ALBANY, Ga. --- Due to heavy rains Friday
and severe weather predicted for most of the
day Saturday, round two of the Georgia Four-
Ball Tournament has been moved to Sunday.
Round two starting times will remain the same
and begin Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. off #1
and #10.
Two teams are in the lead after round one of
the Georgia Four-Ball Tournament - John
Riordan of Duluth and Ray Zepp of Doraville,
and Rick Dubois and David Maddox, both of
McDonough. Each duo turned in 3-under-par
69 scores. The 26th playing of this event is
being played at both Stonebridge Golf and
Country Club and Doublegate Country Club.
Entries were open to two-man teams of male
amateur golfers who belong to a GSGA
member club and have combined USGA
Handicap Indexes of 4.0 and above and a
maximum differential of six strokes. Of the 94
total teams, 82 were determined by lottery,
three spots were reserved for each host club
and one spot was reserved for each of the
previous year's flight winners.
Th Championship through third flights are
playing all three rounds at Stonebridge Golf
and Country Club, while the fourth through
seventh flights tee it up at Doublegate Country
Club.

ABOUT THE Georgia Four-Ball Tournament
The Georgia Four-Ball Tournament, held annually
since 1989, is open
to male amateur golfers who are GSGA members
and are residents of
Georgia. The format is four-ball stroke play.
Entries: Open to two-man teams of male
amateur golfers who have combined USGA
Handicap Indexes of 4.0 and above and a
maximum differential of 6 strokes
Field: 96 teams -- 82 teams determined by
lottery, three spots reserved for each host
club and one spot reserved for each of the
previous year's flight winners
