Dedication, persistence and unshakeable confidence were on full display across the worldwide professional tours as Titleist golf ball loyalists John Senden (Pro V1) and Alejandro Cañizares (Pro V1x) secured a pair of victories over the weekend.

Relying on his Pro V1 golf ball, Senden posted a 7-under-par 277 total to edge Titleist Brand Ambassador Kevin Na by one shot at the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship. And on the PGA European Tour, Cañizares relied on his Pro V1x golf ball to string together an impressive wire-to-wire win at the Trophée Hassan II.

TITLEIST LEADERBOARD...

Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x players have now won 29 tournaments on the worldwide professional tours in 2014, nearly five times the nearest competitor with 6 and more than all other competitors combined.

To date, 4,008 players have trusted a Titleist golf ball across the worldwide professional tours in 2013, more than six times the nearest competitor with 631 and more than all other competitors combined.

TEAM TITLEIST WEEKEND RECAP...

PGA TOUR: Valspar Championship

Titleist was the top golf ball choice of 86 players in the field of 126 at the Valspar Championship, nearly four times the nearest competitor with 22.

Titleist golf ball players swept the top six spots of the leaderboard at the Valspar Championship, where John Senden (Pro V1) closed with a final round 1-under 70 that included a clutch performance in his last trip through the Snake Pit.

On Sunday, Senden pitched in for birdie from 70 feet on the 16th hole, followed that with a 20-foot birdie putt on the 17th and capped off his final round with a tap-in par to seal the victory.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Kevin Na (Pro V1x, 913D3 driver, 913F fairway metal, 910H hybrid, new AP2 irons, Vokey Design sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron GSS putter) finished in second place followed by Pro V1x loyalist Scott Langley in third - one shot behind Na.

Langley was the only player who shot par or better all four days under tough conditions at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course.

Langely was followed by three Titleist golf ball players who tied for 4th at 4-under 280, including Luke Donald (Pro V1x) and overnight leader Robert Garrigus (Pro V1).

Senden also punched his ticket to Augusta and earned an invitation to The Masters with the victory.

"I didn’t turn my phone on because I know there’s going to be 4,000 messages," the 42-year-old said after the win.

Titleist golf ball loyalists have now won 12 events on the 2013-14 season, six times more than the nearest competitor with 2.

EUROPEAN TOUR: Trophée Hassan II

Titleist was the top golf ball choice of 86 players in the field of 126 at the Trophée Hassan II, more than four times the nearest competitor with 21.

Alejandro Cañizares (Pro V1x) opened with a first round 10-under par 62 and never relinquished his hold on the lead. He finished with a 19-under, 269 victory total, five shots clear of fellow Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Andy Sullivan. Sullivan closed with a final nine 29 (seven birdies) for a best-of-the-day 63 and the best European Tour finish of his career.

The victory marks the second career European Tour title for Cañizares.

“I played great, some of the best golf of my career. I hit good shot after good shot and kept my focus,” said Cañizares.

Titleist golf ball loyalists have now won six events on the 2013-14 European Tour, three times the nearest competitor with two.
