There's the eagle, the double eagle and now,
for amateurgolf.com
member Mark Loftus, the double-double eagle.
In June, Loftus
recorded a double eagle on the par 5 16th hole
at El Camino Country
Club in Oceanside while playing in a member-
guest tournament. This
past weekend, he did it again on the par 5 5th
hole during a member
member tournament.
Loftus' feats aren't the only impressive
headlines coming out of El
Camino Country Club. Last year,
Joe Ryon
caught fire and
recorded a new course-record 59.

Review
El Camino Country Club, which also happens to
be the home course for
amateurgolf.com founder Pete Wlodkowski, is
considered the best
value in California country club golf.
The 1958 William H. Johnson layout is a North
San Diego County golf
staple. Over the years El Camino has matured
into a tree lined beauty
with small greens that require adjustments for
break and speed on
each and every putt. A testimony to the
layout's longevity is the fact
that El Camino has in recent years served as
the local qualifying site
for the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Classic
and the LPGA Tour's Kia
Classic.
