Moot Thomas Sr: Brian Brown holds lead
OCALA, Fla. (March 1, 2014) -- Lecanto’s Brian Brown had a hot hand and has a six shot lead heading into the final round of the Moot Thomas Invitational which is being played at The Ocala Golf Club. Brown shot a second round 7-under-par 65 and stands at 11-under-par 133.Second place belongs to Apopka’s Doug Snoap who shot the only other under-par round in the Senior Division with a 4-under-par 68. for a 139 total. Third place is Casselberry’s Rob Hess with a 141 total.
Leading the Super Senior Division is Shawn McLoughlin (Bethel, CT) who shot a 73 for a 1-under-par 143 and a one shot lead over Randy Briggs. Briggs shot the only under-par round in the Super Senior Division with a 70. Third place is Berger Warner with a 72-73 - 145 score.In The Legends division Jim Pfogner (Sarasota) shot a 2-under-par 70 for a 145 total and a one shot lead over Cocoa Beach’s Ray Darmstadt who shot a 1-under-par 71 for a 146 total and tied for second place with Ron Russo (72-74).
Action resumes tomorrow with he final round of the tournament and it’s a 9:00 a.m. shotgun.

ABOUT THE Moot Thomas Invitational
54 hole stroke play championship for men 55 years
of
age or older. Super Senior division must be 65 or
older,
Legends division must be 70 years or older, and
Super Legends must be 75 years or older. The
tournament honors Moot Thomas, an Ocala native
and
FSGA Hall of Famer who had a lengthy and
successful
amateur career.
