ABOUT THE South Carolina Tournament of Champions

With the first event held in January of 1997, The Tournament of Champions was created to honor the Champions of the SCGA Member Club events and the SCGA One Day Tournaments throughout the year prior.

Participants compete against one another in flights based on how they qualified. Flights are broken up as Men's Club Champions, Men's Senior Club Champions, SCGA One Day Gross winners, SCGA One Day Net winner, SCGA One Day Senior winners and a Women's Division that includes both Women's Club Champions and WSCGA One Day winners. Each flight plays from a predetermined set of tees and competes only against other players in their respective flight.

From the first event of 42 players, the Tournament of Champions now reaches capacity and has become of one of the highlights for many players throughout the year.
