Chechessee Creek Sr.: Kelos grabs 2nd round lead
OKATIE, S.C. (Oct. 23, 2013) -- Chris Kelos fired a second-round 70 and leads by a shot at the 2013 Chechessee Creek Club Senior Invitational.
Kelos shot a first-round 73 and trailed leader George Ackerman by six but rallied for the day's lowest round Tuesday.
Nick Wyer also shot a second-round 70 and trails Kelos by a shot entering Wednesday's final round.
Players in contention entering the finale include recent Yeamans Hall Senior winner Jon Tingley, longtime Georgia amateur Jack Hall and Cyrus Whitney, a longtime member of amateurgolf.com
ABOUT THE Lowcountry Senior Invitational
Tournament format will be 54 holes of stroke play
over three courses. Three divisions:
Senior (age 55+), Super Senior (65+) and Legends
(70+), with prizes for the low Super Legends. Formerly
the Chechessee Creek
Senior Invitational.
