Utah Four-Man Team: Fore Lakes prevails

MOAB, Utah (Oct. 20, 2013) -- A strong senior team from Fore Lakes Golf Course won the UGA Senior Four-Man Championship at Bloomington Country Club Sunday and because the seniors played from the same tees as the At Large Division the Fore Lakes team also won the overall title.

Two Talons Cove teams battled for the At Large Division title with Talons Team (2) edging Talons Team (1) by one shot, but lost to Fore Lakes by two shots for the overall title.

The Fore Lakes team was consisted of Scott Fairbanks, Kirk Siddens, Bill Probst, and Todd Barker, the owner-superintendent of the course.

Three players shared individual honors with 36-hole scores of seven under par and none of them were on the winning teams. Mike Jorgensen shot 70-67-137 to lead Cove View Seniors to second place in the Senior Division, and Christian Jensen (69-68) of Bonneville and Jason Hargett (68-69) of Talons Cove B team also shot 137 scores to share individual honors with Jorgensen.

The tournament attracted 19 teams. Talons Cove entered two teams in the At Large Division and one in the Senior Division. Other clubs with entries in both divisions were East Bay, Fore Lakes, Glendale, Bountiful Ridge, and Glendale. Other clubs participating in either the At Large or Senior Divisions were Cove View, Sun River, Green Spring, Bonneville, South Mountain, and Mountain View. A total of 12 different clubs entered the tournament and there were no country club teams entered.
