Mid-Atlantic Am: Sughrue, Sikes, Knade share lead
Manakin-Sabot, VA. (Oct. 3, 2013) -- Matt Sughrue (36-33), Sam Sikes (35-34) and Peter Knade (35-34) recorded morning three-under par 69s to take the early lead in the 107th Middle Atlantic Amateur Championship at Kinloch Golf Club in Manakin-Sabot, VA. Playing at par 72 and 7,056 yards, the renowned Kinloch course sturdily resisted scoring as the only other sub-73 score was posted by Mikey Moyers.
Brian Simpson and Brian Hicks fired 73s while Kinloch members Robert Bradshaw and Pars Pandya returned 74s.
Full morning scores may be viewed by way of Schedule on the Home page then Amateur and Results. Full first round scores will be posted later today and second round play will begin at 7:30 AM on #1 and #10 Friday morning.
