LEWISVILLE, TX (June 3, 2006)--Josh Irving of Mansfield, Stephen Paterson of Austin, Marc Campbell of Southlake, and Bob Neal of Arlington each posted rounds of 4-under 68 to share the lead after round 1 of the amateurgolf.com North Texas Amateur at The Golf Club at Castle Hills in Lewisville. Todd McGrew of Coppell was two shots back at 70, with an additional six players at 71.
Doug Baker of Austin shot an even par 72 to lead by one over Jim Butcher of The Colony with Peter Dahlberg of Fort Worth three shots back at 75.
In the Net Division, Blane Freytag of Peoria, AZ fired a net 10-under 62 to lead by five over Cesar Hernandez of Carrollton, with Jin Han of Allen, TX in third with a 69.
