Lee takes Tennessee Mid-Amateur
DICKSON, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2013) -- Philip Lee of Nashville is the 2013 Tennessee Mid-Amateur Champion with a total score of 12-under par 204. Lee shared the second round lead with 2012 Tennessee State Open Champion Craig Smith of Nashville. Neither player started strong with Smith making bogey at the par-5 second hole of GreyStone Golf Club, while Lee made bogey at the par-4 fourth. Lee would answer with a birdie at the par-4 eighth hole to get the round back to even. Once turning to the back side Lee would shoot a collective 3-under par 33 to sign a 36-33-69 scorecard and capture a two stroke victory over Smith to claim the 26th Annual Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship.

Open to amateurs age 25 and older who are

of a TGA Club. Qualifying is required for those
who
do
not meet the exemption criteria. Format consists
of
54
holes of stroke play with a cut following the second
round.
