Tennesee Mid-Am: Lee, Smith share lead
DICKSON, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2013) -- A pair of
new leaders sit atop the 26th Annual
Tennessee
Mid-Amateur Championship leaderboard. 2012
Tennessee State Open Champion Craig Smith
of
Nashville shares the lead with GreyStone Golf
Club member Philip Lee of Nashville. Both
have
played tremendous golf and share rounds of
69-
66 for a 135 total score. The duo is trailed by
Josh Nelms, Tim Jackson, and Matt Cooper by
three strokes. The final round of the 26th
Annual Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship
hosted by GreyStone Golf Club will be played
Saturday.
18 Hole Recap
Danny Green of Jackson holds the first round
lead alongside co-leader Kris Devlin of
Nashville.
Green went off early in the morning and
played
a smooth round of 4-under par 68 without a
single bogey. Devlin would allow only one slip
up at the par-4 tenth hole of GreyStone Golf
Club. His total of five birdies and one bogey
gave him an overnight share of the lead with
Green. The duo sits one shot ahead of a six
way
tie at 3-under par 69.
