Kansas Sr. Series: Elliot wins 2nd title
LAWRENCE, Kan. (Sept. 19, 2013) -- Topeka's Mark Elliott picked up his second KGA Senior Series title today at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence.

Elliott, who won the 2011 KGA Senior Series Championship, cruised to an easy seven shot victory after back to back rounds of 1-under par 71. 2012 Senior Series Champion Bob Hartmann of Shawnee finished in the runner-up position at 5-over par 149 total.

Ottawa's Bob Bezek finished in third at 6-over par 150 total.

In the Super Senior Division, Leawood's Ron Brewer bested the field with rounds of 71 and 77 to finish at 4-over par 148 total. KGA veteran Fred Rowland finished in second in the 65 & Over Division at 7-over par 151 total.

After the championship, the top gross and net finishers from the championship will advance to represent the KGA in the 2013 Ozark Senior Challenge and Association Senior Cup Matches against our rivals from the Missouri Golf Association. The Senior Cup Matches will take place October 13-15 at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta.

36 holes stroke play with two age divisions:

Age 50 to 64 - (gross & net scoring)
Age 65 & Over - (gross & net scoring)

Eligibility: By Invitation Only. Invitation based on player performance during 20 regular season KGA Senior Series events.
