Hudgens, Ibbotson win FL North Mid-Senior Four-Ball

In the Florida North Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship, Thad Hudgens of Longwood and Chad Ibbotson of Sanford made a second round charge to claim the hardware at Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand.

In the first round, the pair fired a four-under 68 which put them in a six-way tie for fifth. In the final round, the duo put on a birdie expo where they shot a solid eight-under 64. Hudgen’s and Ibbotson’s superb final round was good enough to push them up to the top of the leaderboard and allowed them to claim the title with a 68-64-132. Philip Meng and Dennis Postlewait of Orlando finished two-strokes behind to claim second place with a tournament total of 66-68-134.

ABOUT THE Florida Mid-Senior Four-Ball (North)

Teams of two, each 40 years of age and above, will compete in either the North or South Championship of 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. Must be age 40 or older and both entrants must be members of the FSGA.
